Rail Equipment at Sandon, British Columbia

Following pictures taken at Sandon on a recent motorcycle toodle through Southern BC. It is aimed at those unable to make a trip to this location. I am afraid I cannot offer any information on the equipment shown, such as serial numbers, date of build or anything else. Some on list may have this information. All I did is take some pictures, I am not a photographer !!

The lineup of the pictures is from south to north on a piece of track left in place against a mountain. Equipment is one steam loco, 2 boxcars, 2 flats and one tank.

Two CPR box cars. I tried to include their numbers.

On the days I was there a new transformer was being installed on a power pole. That's what's in the way of the pictures, was quite difficult to shoot around the flat-bed and hoist truck, parked right against the track. BTW, the transformer is meant to handle the increased load for the store and museum. Both flat cars had some equipment on them.

Enjoy. Helmut.
