This is a series of 5 pictures I picked up. I have little information, vague dates and locations and have done some guessing myself.

This is not my scanner that's fuzzy, it's the picture. Info supplied my by Joe Smuin to cover all photos.

Similar to the picture on page 1-17 of Joe Smuin's book "Kettle Valley Railway Mileposts". Taurus, view looking westbound (geographic north) date sometime after WW2.

Same picture as on Page 84 of Barrie Sanford's book "Steel Rails and Iron Men". Hope Roundhouse, sometime between 1916 and 1926 when the KVR originated trains out of Hope, also used pushers from this location.

Pictures sys early 1900s. Right. Looks to me to be not too far from Othello. Joe says, "Somewhere in Q, would have to do some research, looks more like Jessica area to me. Date is probably in the 1920s". Note on back says the engine is a 400 number. Steam shovel clearing a rock slide. Note the smoke pouring from the stack, he's into the rocks.

Picture says taken at Lakeside Incola Hotel early 1940s. Joe says, "Penticton, about 1938. Tracks in foreground go to packinghouses and CN interchange. The 5120 is facing east (geographic south) at the foot of Martin Street in Penticton. The train is No 12 and 5120 will be switched off the train when it pulls back to the South Penticton yard. 5120 at this time was a Vancouver engine and only worked east of Penticton as a pusher to Chute Lake. (Vancouver passenger engine laying over at Penticton was commonly used in Penticton pusher service.)
