Visit to Rocky Mountaineer Service Facility March 15th 2006
New engines have just arrived on property after rebuilding by NRE-Alco in Capreol, ON. These two engines numbered 8018 and 8019 will be used in the new Rocky Mountaineer - Whistler Service. They carry their own distinctive logo.
Rocky Mountaineer, with the arrival of the 8016 and 8017 within a day or two, will have a total of 9 engines, 8011 through 8019. They now have over 80 pieces of rolling stock as well, including a total of 13 domes, including the arrival of 3 more shortly. Apparently engines 8016 - 8017 will be used in the Prince George Service.
