Duluth Transportation Museum
mmmmm
The reason I went there is to see the original Milwaukee Road (CMStP&P) Boxcab electric, pictured on the left here. But this has to be one of the best railway museums anywhere. There are over 75 restored pieces with a number of operating ones, including the narrow gauge trolley operation pictured on the right. As well the Duluth area is a haven for RR buffs, with 3 dinner trains in the area. As well, in addition to the museum housing a "Yellowstone", argued by some to be the strongest steam engine ever built, there is one at Two Harbours, and I believe in Proctor, both near by.
